MINKA, one of the ICM-CSIC citizen science observatories, is consolidated as a reference platform for the European Mission "Restore our Ocean and Waters".

Over the next seven years, this cooperative body between the ICM-CSIC and the Generalitat will allocate 18.87 M€ to the deployment of tools for oceanographic data collection, among others.

The team, formed by nine Catalan women scientists from different disciplines, were selected to carry out a mission at the Mars Research Desert Station (MDRS) in the Utah desert, in the United States.

The awards seek to promote scientific outreach and recognize the work of professionals in this field.

In early December, the Institute hosted a pioneering training on ecosystem modeling based on the 'Ecopath with Ecosim' approach, attended by participants from 13 different countries.
