My main interest is understanding the links between community structuring, diversity maintenance and ecosystem functioning. My expertise is on field data analysis and theoretical ecology, and I actively collaborate with experimental, field data and modelling scientists from wide backgrounds in order to achieve further understanding of such a complex subject.  I am currently involved in projects (1) modelling the regional diversification of marine invertebrates in the last 500 My, (2) understanding the role of community structuring on biomass production in algal raceways, and (3) understanding the role of individual size on plankton and fish community structuring in freshwater and in the ocean.
