I am developing the PhD between two different departments: Renewable Marine Resources and Marine Biology and Oceanography with an FPI fellowship. My research is focused on the effect of emerging pollutants and global change on marine zooplankton. In particular, I culture copepods and algae for in vivo experiments. Additionally, I analyze enzymatic biomarkers to assess the effects of the exposure of these organisms to different pollutants, mainly plastic and plastic additives.
