The role and job description
We are seeking to hire an enthusiastic and highly motivated PostDoc in the field of numerical modelling, hosted by the Barcelona Center of Subsurface Imaging at the ICM–CSIC.
The successful candidate will focus on the development of numerical codes coupling Stokes and Darcy equations and its application for the evolution of large-scale tectonic systems.
Requirements
Professional experience
- A PhD degree in Earth Science, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering
- Knowledge in code development
Languages
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
The offer
We are offering a contract with the following conditions:
- Estimated annual gross salary: Salary will around €40.000 commensurate with qualifications and experience, and consistent with CSIC pay scales.

- Target starting date: July 1st 2025
