His research is focused on ocean dynamics of the western boundary current system of the tropical Atlantic Ocean and its interaction with Tropical Atlantic Variability using ocean models, atmospheric and ocean reanalysis. He applies off-line Lagrangian simulations in ocean model outputs to describe water mass pathways and interhemispheric exchange of ocean heat transport in the Atlantic Ocean.
